On this significant occasion of International Women’s Day, I want to celebrate a woman who has been a constant source of strength and inspiration in my life – my mother, Shalini Suryawanshi.
We are four siblings, we each have faced our fair share of tough times, but my mother has always been there for us, unwavering in her support and love. She is like a rock of Gibraltar, and her love has turned our winters into spring.
While all mothers are selfless and caring, what sets Shalini apart is her ability to balance her own interests with those of others. She is a solution-oriented person who genuinely cares about everyone she meets, and she is never afraid to speak her mind and voice her feelings be it sad or happy.
Shalini fulfils her wishes without fail and is quick to adapt to changes around her. She wears clothes that are in vogue, cooks and eats dishes that she likes while making dishes that others like. Fulfilling wishes and not sacrificing is the highest form of self-care, only then can we truly take care of others wishes by sharing our abundance and creating happiness together.
So, on this International Women’s Day, I invite you to celebrate the women in your life who inspire you and make a difference. Let us come together and honour these incredible women who make this world beautiful. I would love to hear your thoughts and celebrate with you.
